I am a Software Engineer in the Workspace team at Google, New York, working on Google Keep, a notetaking editor. I previously worked at Google Bangalore, in the Editors Intelligence team, where I was involved in building spelling and other writing suggestion systems for Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. I graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras with a Dual Degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering. I have previously interned at the Indian Institute of Science, Adobe Research Labs and Google India.

My primary research interest lies in Natural Language Processing. I have worked on paraphrase generation, cognitive language modelling, text to scene conversion, neural language models, and multimodal dialogue systems. I completed my Master’s thesis under the mentorship of Prof. Yulia Tsvetkov, Language Technologies Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. I have also worked with Prof. Mitesh Khapra at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Prof. Veni Madhavan at the Indian Institute of Science.

I am a practitioner of the classical dance form of Bharatanatyam. I write articles, book reviews and short stories on my personal blog.
